Just outside of Limon (CO)Â I heard a strange popping noise and then a very bad rattling ensued.
Should mention right now that the Taiko Dream concert series with Mu Daiko was a blast. Everyone else is well on their way back home, but I am in Limon hoping for a miracle.
Really it’s not so bad. Nothing blew up. I managed to get the van to D&L Auto which is not so far in off the interstate and they seem like nice folks…even gave us a ride over to the hotel.
Now I sit and wait.
Oh. I would have to say that of all the great mechanics and technicians that have looked at the van up to this point (based on the current problem we’re having with the engine right now) Bruce at Troubleshooters in Vancouver, BC was the closest to pinning it down.
What I am really most glad about is the fact that this all didn’t happen on the Shidara tour. No van full of people to move somewhere else. It also isn’t happening on the way ‘to’ Minneapolis before the concerts…ooh…and I hear 70 has been closed on and off all day over the summit through the Rockies, so for being stuck…this ain’t so bad.
Pretty darn lucky, all things considered.
Hope my luck holds out.
